It’s more like a giant slumber party for the entire community! It goes all night, symbolic of the fact that cancer never sleeps…and neither does the American Cancer Society. Cancer survivors are honored by leading the first lap of victory and also at a reception following the start. Relay begins in the evening. After that, members of each team take turns walking around the track until the morning.
